When Nike was ready to launch into the skate industry with SB Free, they reached out to Brand New School with the challenge of making the iconic Free technology, historically known for running, relevant to skateboarders.
We created something entirely new to the sport of skateboarding - a stylized world to brand the product and inform communications across all platforms. To highlight the footwear, we designed a distraction “Free” world for our pros to shred with memorable skate spots recreated on a sound stage. The campaign helped Nike establish real street cred within the skateboarding industry and prove a unique market value for the Free technology brand.
